July 11, 2006: Encouraging success from Lumbar experimenters (Alex & Phillip)

Frequently Asked Questions

Answered by:  Sky

*      Since Alex & Phillip have grown taller from the Lumbar routine, did you guys modify this routine according to their solid results?
- Yes!  The Lumbar routine has been modified. Click here to access it!

*      How did Alex grow faster than Phillip?
- Alex grew 1.5 inches or 4 cm in 7 months.. while Phillip grew somewhere between 0.5 inch in 5 months. Alex was the only one who did running with 4 lb (or 2 kilograms) ankle weight each leg for about 40 minutes daily.

Also, Phillip was never consistent with his running due to injury from doing excessive vertical jumps. Phillip would have grown at a steady rate if he did more running.

It appears that jogging with ankle weights seemed to create more microfractures in the spine as this contributed to slightly better results. In other words, if you prefer running (moderate to fast pace), then you may run WITHOUT wearing ankle weights. On the other hand, if you prefer mild running or jogging, then wear ankle weights for more intensity.

*      Did Alex or Phillip experience any unusual side effects with inversion?
- No side effects whatsoever. ONLY great benefits like feeling healthier and having a much stronger upper body and a beautiful six-pack.

*      How do I run with ankle weights without getting blisters near the ankles?
- Here are the solutions:  Wear 1 to 2 pairs of sweatpants.. or strap 1 foam layer around your shin (above the ankles), then wrap the ankle weights on top of the foam.

*      It’s weird running on the street exposing the ankle weights on my shinbone.. I’m afraid that people may question my intention.. what should I do?
- Follow these steps (in order):   Wear a long sweatpants… then wrap a layer of foam on your shinbone.. then strap the 2 or 4 lb ankle weight on top of the foam layer… then wear another pair of sweatpants [the second layer of sweatpants should hide the ankle weights from public view].

*      Aside from Alex & Phillip’s success, what about your other experimenters?
- Many experimenters are still hesitating about whether or not they should spend $200 to $400 on inversion boots & chin-dip-leg-raise.. thus, not many of them actually began the lumbar routine… as more evidence begins to emerge, hopefully more people will begin to grind the lumbar routine.

*      Yo sky.. how’d you got in touch with Phillip?
- I saw Phillip’s post on Joey’s forum and immediately knew something cool had happened. Read his post by clicking here!

The guy Phillip on joey's forum claimed to have grown taller from doing inverted sit-ups.. I immediately got in touch with him by telephone.. we went on and on talking.. he even sent us his pictures to prove that's he's an existing person..

*      Could you give me a brief summary regarding Alex & Phillip’s success?
a) Alex - this 24 y.o guy grew 4 cm (or 1.5 inches) in 7 months by doing inverted sit-ups w/ 10 lbs weight each hand for 30 minutes daily PLUS jogging with 4 lb ankle weight each leg for 40 minutes daily before bedtime... of the 4 cm in growth, alex claimed that 3 cm occurred in the spine and the other 1 cm occurred in the legs.. he said that by doing inverted sit-ups, his legs somehow grew 1 cm or less.. but he's not sure.. however, he's certain that he grew 4 cm in permanent height.

b) Phillip - 20 y.o guy grew 0.5 inch in 5 months.. he's not sure how much he grew.. but he's certain that he grew.. this kid claimed that running really boosts his growth rate when including inverted sit-ups in his routine.

*      Why did Phillip do on-and-off running? Why wasn’t he consistent with it?
- Phillip has flat feet.. he developed injuries from doing excessive vertical jumps.. therefore, he’s running whenever he can.

*      Why is it important that running or jogging with ankle weights should be added to this lumbar routine?
- According to Alex & Phillip’ success, it appears that running or jogging with ankle weights can really increase the growth rate when including inverted sit-ups w/ wts in the height routine... remember to protect ur knees and listen to ur body.. don't overkill ur knees when running.. start out 2 lb each leg jogging for 20 minutes daily.. OR, jog w/ wts. for 20 min, take a short break, and jog w/ wts. for another 10 min.. just be creative.. try NOT to run w/ ankle wts… listen to your body and be sure that your knees are in good shape.

*      It’s so hard to do half-way inverted sit-ups since I got a fat tummy.. what should I do?
- If you’re fat, then spend 2 months running daily to lose some weight in the abdominal area… once you’re fit, then follow the lumbar routine by doing half-way inverted sit-ups.

*      I tend to develop blisters or red marks after running.. what should I do?
- Wear 2 or 3 pairs of socks and the blisters will never develop. Wear good sneakers.

*      Should I purchase the inversion table or inversion boots?
- Inversion table is designed for stationary (or motionless) inversion. Since recent growth from both Alex & Phillip points to kinetic (caused by motion) inversion, it’s obvious that inverted sit-ups is the key to growing taller successfully!

Therefore, if you want to grow taller by doing inverted sit-ups, then we’d highly recommend that you should get the inversion boots.

*      Why do inverted sit-ups w/ weights (performed with inversion boots) consider much more effective than motionless inversion (performed with inversion table)?
- When it comes to growing taller in the spine, it’s about strengthening your abdominal area, back muscles, and the upper body. Inverted sit-ups w/ weights can help you to build strength and flexibility in these areas. The old saying goes, “100 inverted sit-ups are equal to 1,000 regular sit-ups”.

With stationary (or motionless) inversion with weights which is performed on an inversion table, this method is useless since you’re not doing anything to strengthen your upper body. Without a strong upper body, your posture collapses and your spinal muscles lack the strength.

*      Should I purchase the chin-dip-leg-raise or Ez-Up Inversion Rack?
- It’s totally up to you… (I personally like the chin-dip-leg-raise since it’s very convenient to get on or off)

*      Where can I purchase the inversion boots or the chin-dip-leg-raise?

*      It’s impossible to do a full inverted sit-up with weights.. can I do a half-way inverted sit-up instead?
- YES!  okay, if you’re an amateur, it's impossible to do a full (or all-the-way) inverted sit-up with 10 lb weight each hand whereby you curl your body all the way which your head comes in contact touching your knees.. and then drop your body down. One thing i'd suggest is that.. you can do a half-way inverted sit-up which I've illustrated on our website (plz review it).. in other words, hold 10 lb weight each hand and curl your body half-way (hold this position for 1 to 3 seconds), and then SLOWLY drop the body down.. and repeat this.. try to do 10 half-way inverted sit-ups each session... get off the chin-dip-leg-raise or hang still to take a few min to relax.. and resume another 10 half-way inverted sit-ups... .. you should do 40 inverted sit-ups or more in total (takes about 25 minutes including time to rest or relax).

Try to do 80 to 160 half-way inverted sit-ups daily.. for example, do 40 half-way inverted sit-ups or 4 sessions (10 each) in the morning... do 40 more half-way inverted sit-ups in the evening... and do 40 more half-way inverted sit-ups before bedtime... you don't need to follow this sample routine... can develop your own.. such as doing 60 inverted sit-ups in the morning.. or do 15 half-way inverted sit-ups at a time to increase even more intensity.

A full inverted sit-up w/ wts may be more effective than a half-way inverted sit-up w/ wts.. however, I'd think half-way inverted sit-up is pretty hard to do and this would generate some solid growth since ppl are indeed growing taller from this.

*      After doing 40 half-way inverted sit-ups, is there anything else that I could do to wrap things up?
- AFTER doing 40 half-way inverted sit-ups with 10 lb wt. each hand, you may choose to spend additional 3-4 minutes inverting motionless while holding 25 to 30 lb each hand to give your spine a good stretch (very relaxing which helps to ease the muscle tensions).

*      Sprinting is too difficult.. can I do running or jogging with ankle weights instead? Wouldn’t sprinting trigger more growth hormones?
- It’s true that sprinting would produce more HGH production; however, according to Alex & Phillip, they’re still growing at a reasonable rate by jogging / running. Thus, sprinting may be more powerful for teenagers, but not necessarily for adults (age 18 or above).

*      I don’t like jogging or running at all… I get lazy doing that.. is there anyway that I could do this harmlessly without sweating like a dog?
- When running or jogging with ankle wts., it's best to jog on the street since time flies much faster and you're unlikely to give up.. one thing i've found is that jogging on the street either in the early morning or late at night is best since no one really notices you.. jogging on the treadmill or in the gym is such so difficult because you'll get real lazy! I'd highly recommend jogging with your dog.. time will fly very fast!

*      Should I do the shinbone or lumbar routine?
- It's best to grow taller with the lumbar routine because it's more realistic to grow taller that way. Plus, growing the lumbar is much safer and the fact that people are gaining solid results is pretty amazing.

*      If someone’s height is between 5’4 to 5’8, how much weights should they hold each hand while doing half-way inverted sit-ups?
- If you're 5'4 to 5'8, I'd recommend that you start out with 10 lb wt. each hand while doing inverted half-way inverted sit-ups

*      How much weights should I wear while jogging with ankle weights?
- Start out with 2 lb wt. each leg for jogging… and then increase like to 4 lb each leg a month or two later.

*      Why is running or jogging more effective than biking?
- We don’t know for sure and do not have the answers… however, according to Phillip & Alex, their growth rate appears to have associated with regular running. Running helps to trigger piezo-electric currents which promote bone growth as well as causing microfractures all over the body and the spine.

*      How can find out if jogging or running is beneficial for spinal growth?
- You can test this yourself.. for instance, when jogging, try to put your hand touching your back, you’ll feel that the back muscles are really moving!

*      Can I jog WITHOUT wearing ankle weights?
- Jogging alone is NOT enough to stimulate bone growth. Running is preferred. However, running can be difficult for some people.. therefore, jogging with ankle weights is another great alternative - the old saying goes, 1 pound on your leg is equal to 5 pounds on your back.

Good news from inverted situps

Hi guys. I never really post on here much but i always frequent the forums and read view the topics. Anyway, i started doing sky's method for the spinal column where you do inverted situps. I started it back in february and now its early july. I havnt done an official measurement but am positive i have grown somewhat like maybe 0.5 inches to an inch. The way i know is because every morning i compare to my eye level to various fixed objects. I have been doing this for a few years now and the eye level never really changed.

But about the last month i have really noticed that my eyelevel is well above the various places i used to check it. I had to have grown atleast a half an inch. Even at night time my eye level is high than it used to be in the morning. I used to run 2 miles everyday but had to quit because of a foot injury. I had been doing that for about 2 years but quit around back in may and also some in march because thats when the injury originally occured. My injury is slowly healing so in about a month i would like to get back to running asi know this strengthens the back muscles and should help me gain even more.

I started with about 5 pounds in each hand and did around 60 inverted sit ups. I usally am pretty consistent now days and never skip more than 1 day a week although lately sometimes i skip two days a week. I am pretty much always around 120 a day now and usually never less than 80 a day. I also drink milk everyday while eating lots of yogurt. I take calcium along with chrondrotin/glucosamine and vitamain C. I try to eat healthy and avoid soda and especially cafeine.
I think once i start running my gains will really explode. The only fallback i have is poor bed time. I go to bed at like 4 in the morning because of my job. Once the fall semester starts in college i'll be back to pre midnight sleeping though.

I’m currently on about 15 pounds a hand while doing around 100-120 inverted sit-ups each day. I think its really working and try to get an official measurement when possible.

Phillip

Subject:  Re: phillip... questions about growth

Hello sky and thanks for emailing me.

The impartial height increase forum is a good place i must say since its free of scams.  I also like the easyheight website which i came upon a few years ago so keep up the good work.  Well, today i woke up at around 2:30PM and went to work for a few hours which definately had a downward effect on my spine (i work evenings hence my poor sleep pattern at the time).  Anyway, i at around 9:30 PM i measured myself and was 5 foot 6 and 1/3 inches (also happens to be my day off from the routine so there was no inversion at all today or any swimming, etc to stretch the results).  I know in the morning i am much taller lol but we all know this fact as height seekers.  Within the next few weeks or so i'll try to get an accurate morning measuement ( i need someone to be home to help me is why it may take awile).

Anyway, here is my routine.  i started the lumbar routine february 15, 2006 as i mark all changes on my calendar as in dumbell weight changes, etc.  I have been on a running program for a few years now since i know its bone stimulating benefits.  Sadly i have been off my running program since march 24 but started again for maybe 3 weeks and stopped once again on around May 8 i believe.  It consisted of running a little over 2 miles on a treadmill 6 days a week and resting one day a week.  I ran at around 8 miles an hour for the whole time so it was pretty intense.  That was like doing a mile every 7 or 8 minutes.  I was completely soaked in sweat by the end so i would say it was rather intense.  i think the benefits from running are undeniable.  I know it definately strenthens the back and whole body.

I was also doing vertical jumps for awile which caused me to develop problems with my metatarsals and anyway, its sort of healing up now and i have no intention of starting the vertical jumps again (vertical jump program consisted of high vertical jumps that began approximately in early January 2006 to March 24 when the injury really flared up).  So both running and vertical jumps ended at March 24.  No new vertical jumps were started since then and only the small amount of running i mentioned.

Once the injury heals completely i plan to start running again because running is totally addicting for me.  All the while i have continued with the lumbar routine that began on february 15, 2006.

I followed it almost exactly as you stated on easyheight except i started off lighter.  I began with no dumbells and only 60 a day six times a week.  I dont think i really started with more than 60 until maybe 2 months later.  I am now pretty consistent at doing 120 a day.  I used to always do sets of 20 at a time, take a few minute break, then resume with 20 more, etc.  I have been trying to do larger intervals though and sometimes do a few sets of 30 each and then finish with sets of 20.

All the while, i always try to achieve a total of 120 each day and usually in one session if possible.  I am human though so sometimes i am just too tired to do them all and may poop out at 80 or 100 but never less than that!  I feel i am cheating myself if i dont meet that number.  The further i go into the program i try to increase my intervals with more reps before i rest. I actually did 4 sets of 30 yesterday.  Sometimes i rest while hanging but never off the bar on my feet until my set of reps (30 for example) is done.  Then i get off the bar and take my short break of a few minutes.  ps, i also rotate  my spine during my break and you recommended :)

Anyhow, i started with no dumbells and soon worked to around 7.5 pounds in each hand then i think i added 2 2.5 weight plates to each dumbell for an incease of 7.5 pounds per dumbell up to 12.5 pounds per dumbell.  I currently have a total of 5 >>2.5 pounds plates on each dumbell (each dumbell is technically heavier on one side by 2.5 pounds incase u cant' figure it out) which is a total of 12.5 pounds plus the weight of the bar which is probably 2.5 pounds so i say roughly 15 pounds each hand.

This is currently my third weight adjustment since i started and as you can probably decipher.  The first few weight adjustments occured very quickly in the routine and i belive the current one only began about a month ago.  So i went from no weight to 7.5 to 12.5 to 15 per hand.  I did the routine with no weights for a few weeks and then went to the 7.5 then maybe a month later to the 12.5 and then after a few months (only very recently) i went to the 15 i currently use and will probably use for a good wile.

Fnally, i usually try to invert before going to  bed while holding a 60 pound bar for 10 minutes.  I used to be more consistent but i skip this a lot of nights now if i am really tired. Okay, i believe we have covered my routine pretty thouroughly.

My name is Phillip and i live in Unknown, California.  I am 20 years old and about 3.5 months. Im white and my dad is 5'8 while i would say my mom is about 5'4 or 5'5.  I think my dad is more liek my height now because he has shrunk as he has gotten older.

I think i lead a pretty healthy lifestyle.  I drink lots of milk and take chrondroitin, glucosamine, vitamin C and calcium.  I also eat yogurt very frequently  along with dried fruits like apricots.  I eat cereal every day and avoid most fattening foods.  I drink virtually no soda or caffeinated drinks and dont eat very much junkfood.  I also have a salad everyday.  I never smoke although i have smoked weed maybe a few times in the far past but thats it.  I used to drink occasionally but now i rarely ever drink.

I don’t want to lie because i want to be completely honest about my gains.  Its really hard to tell how tall i have grown at this point.  I honestly can’t even tell you my exact height.  I would say its around 5'7 exactly when i wake up but that varies on how much sleep i get.  There are just so many variables!   But i can tell you this.  I know have have grown somewhat, probably a centimeter and possibly more.  I had to have grown because in the morning i always compare my eye level to various objects and it is definitely over these objects way more than it used to be ( i have done this comparison for probably 2-3 years.  Even at night it is above the objects and it barely used to be in line with the objects when i woke.  And maybe its me, but it slowly seems like my eyelevel is rising over the objects.  I know this sounds very inconclusive and it is.  Its not hard evidence.  I need to get a morning measurement is what i really need.  I don’t want to give false stories and false info.

But i do know i have grown, im just not sure by how much.  I'm pretty sure this growth probably came in my spine and not my legs.  Im sure my legs are done growing because the plates are probably fused.  Anyway, i still eat healthy hoping that maybe i do have some natural growth.  My doctor said the plates never "completely" close and that you can still even grow in your 20's but lets not go there.

And about proving i exist, i included some pictures i just took after going to a club the other day.  As you can tell, im  just your average college white guy (except slightly shorter than most :) )

I think i have answered most of your questions.  I havnt really seen any negative side effects.  I've already been in shape for quite awhile and i feel this only enhanced my six pack and upper body strength.  I also started swiming laps the last month or so because of my foot injury (my new cardio since i cant run).  I think its great exercise also and i have heard about its potiental spine lengthening abilities.  Oh well, well see on that aspect.  Some of the questions u ask i cant really answer because i don’t know.  a few more things:  When i do the situps i do the full sit up to my knees.  I always do about 1 or 2 "super hard" sit ups where i hold it crunched all the way for a few seconds (the kind that make you gasp  for breath after).  I do these for each set so usually totaling about 6 times at the end of each session for the day.  When i ran i did it during the middle of the day normally but occasionally it was at night.  I think my increase that i suspect may just be to my improving my posture but who knows?  and i have no opinion as to whether this is permanent.

Any more questions please feel free to email me. You can even call me on my cell. It would be interesting to actually physically talk to someone about height increase. (XXX) XXX-XXXX is my cell if u want to .

Phillip

ps: I wouldn’t list me as a success story or anything at this current time.  There is still lots more data to crunch.  After a year and once i start my running.  Im sure i can get maybe an inch or close.  All gains are worth something.  Even half an inch is half an inch MORE than you had before.  But yes, i'll keep trying.

Hey Ryan!
I’m a big fan of your project easyheight.com. U’know I bet I’m a biggest fan here in Russia, yeah um seriously!

In a fact I hold in high respect everything you have done so far. U are the great man and doing a great job. I really like ur positive, openness to something new, ur desire to get at the roots of things, your self-reliance. U are not afraid of difficulties, not afraid whatever they said u’know. U are cool cat and this is not only my opinion.

If u think after that complements follow some tear story about my problems with appearance and how I hope to find an answer on ur site…. nahh …u are wrong ;). I already found it!  This is about my success story on a basis of ur web-site!

Well I am 24-year-old student and reap the rewards from Lumbar routine. I grew up in 4 cm over 7 month. Everything was just like u’know in that ad – sometimes when everything pulling down and u cant take strides forward, u ask urself, does it worth of my efforts, my time….. my hopes. The answer is - it all depends of ur aim after all, the aim higher the easer to get over the difficulties and meet the challenge.

U’know I don’t want to retell everything in this story. In general I just carry out every point in ur routine and maybe was just consistent in my action As a matter of fact the result is great but I wrote not merely about it.

Well the idea of Lumbar routine seemed to me pretty cool when I started to gain some cm. And still as I have chosen this one day, I was keen at reaching something in this sphere. I just wanted to go forward with the routine since I think it could help not to me only. So the belief came as a spot of a moment decision: it can be really useful to my fitness club (where I go in for sport) and what is more important   – efficient for all height seekers around my area.

So i prepared a really interesting presentation on the basis of ur site information (u’know I work for PR-agency) and tried to prove its efficiency to the fitness club manager.  U’know he really liked the idea! He said hmm…this great we can try it! He gave a room and found a methodologist for this job. We made a big banner where we didn’t underline to vouch for some height but assist in increasing.  It turned out, that ppl  really want it. Now about sixteen teenagers engage in ur routine. U’know we planned to make easyheight.ru web-site where we could place our own results, ur articles, success stories and news rubric.

In PR-industry it called Affiliate Partners where the we have the same brand name and the same background. Examination for the inspection certification we can pass at any time u want. I guess I have a strong experience in sphere :)

Hoping to hear from you soon!

Yours faithfully,
Alexander Galin

========Alex’s other emails========

Hey Ryan!
Thanx for the answer! Of course I can share with u my experience.

Ok let's start of the very being!  About two years ago I decided to make myself better))) sorry I don't know how to start it.

U'know in different countries the standard for man's appearance is similar to each other - the tall guy is the handsome guy and everywhere it sounds the same! Russia in this context is not exception to the rule.  Well so I had a problem in this way and tried to figure things out.

When I started my routine I was 23 years old. To begin with I tried to search of all Russian innet-sources, forums, literature. At long last I found some doctor (doctor Palko) that claims he knows alot about height increasing. The general idea of his routine was inverted sit-ups. He works in this sphere about 20 years and a lot of people went through his 'studio school'. U'know in that moment I recalled you last Lumbar Routine from ur web-site and idea of inversion therapy sounded to me pretty cool. I thought if two persons came to the same conclusion and they didn't really know one another - it means something.

So I started Lumbar Routine with some chops and changes (I mean I just took two routines and united them into one). As a result I began the routine from scamper running with ankle weights for about 4 kilometers (every two days I swapped 1,5 kg a.w. to 2,5 kg and  vice versa ) and when I came running home I got into my horizontal bar head over heels at one stroke and made some  weight-lift training for 30 minutes. I have to say for that moment I already was among the first amateur in our university faculty, so I was ready for something. In total my routine takes on average about 1 hour and 20 minutes per day (7 days a week). So I started the routine in October and finished in..hmm if seriously I still cant finish it)), really u'know um feeling breaking when I don't do that. Anyway my result for this moment is 4 cm of permanent height and about 4-5 kg of dropping weight.

Now I realized that for height increasing u have to be nice sportsman with strong character ( u'know that feeling when u running by pretty gals with bared-teeth face because of the ankle weight on ur legs )) and u have to understand that ur aim is not to wrestle with your body but build it. I mean u have to enjoy the process of ur training, only in this way the time flies quickly and results are not keeping long waiting.

When I arrived at this conclusion I started to achieve my goals and my life afresh. I went towards this about two years, what could be simpler - love ur body and its return your affection. U'know that inversion training as I made it clear from Dr. Palko conduces to self-rejuvenation. And I believe him because after everyday work I had a strong feeling of face lifting and burst of energy. Man maybe that's why I cant say for sure what part of my body increased, guess it's like some natural growth on a pro rata basis.

Anyway man I have to say many thanx for you web-site and ur work! U are the great man and u have to know that! If u have any questions please feel free to contact me!

Alex
ps: Ryan u don't respond me about easyheight.ru, I need ur comments! Thanx in advance!

=================
Ryan,

Here’re the answers to your queries:

1) I guess the general height in spine about 3 cm, in legs 1 cm pro tanto.
2) About 40 minutes running with ankle weights every eve (after work), about 30 minutes of inversion training with 10 kg dumb-bell (i started out from 5 kg), before bedtime.
3) At last letter i've sent u some pics just take a good look at attachment.

Best regards.
Alex
